I used the online support / chat facility on your website the other day and found your help desk operator to be really knowledgeable and helpful. What a great feature. My items arrived the very next day too. It would have taken me longer to drive somewhere to find what I was after. Instead, you delivered everything to my door. Many thanks.
At WF Plastic, we understand that shipping costs play a significant role in our customers' decision to purchase from us. Accordingly, we go to great lengths to keep shipping costs as low as possible.
WF Plastic has a number of shipping partners to choose from depending upon your needs:
Australia Post - for deliveries to PO boxes, and national deliveries for V-Weights up to 20kg
TNT Road Express - for our national freight
Hunter Express - for our national freight
WF Plastic Delivery Fleet - for local deliveries in the Sydney metropolitan area
Pallet Freight (to be quoted) - for larger consignments Australia wide
Following are some tips to help you to maximise your shipping value:
Australia Post is offered for all consignments from letter size to a V-Weight of 20kg. Australia Post is the only service that will deliver to PO Boxes. As Australia Post uses a cubic shipping calculator that's based on postcode, your shipping fees will continue to change as you add and remove stock to your cart. They levy an initial fee for the consignment, and a per kg fee for every single kg in the consignment.
TNT Road Express and Hunter Express are both extremely competitive freighters. They deliver nationally, and are competitive with Australia Post. They calculate postage based on the delivery postcode, and the combined V-Weight of the consignment. The first 10kg of any consignent shipped with these two carriers attracts a flat rate. After the first 10kg, the shipping cost for the consignment is calculated per kg.
One of the best features of TNT and Hunter Express is that a single consignment can consist of multiple cartons. This means that, even for larger consignments, they will only charge the initial 10kg flat rate fee once.
A shipping calculation example for TNT follows for an 11kg consignment vs adding extra stock to the consignment to give a total V-Weight of 14kg. Rates are current for Sydney local delivery as at June 2010 and are subject to change.
Flat rate for first 10kg = $15.52
Per kg Rate = $0.38
Total postage cost for 11kg consignment is $15.52 + $0.38 = $15.90
Total postage cost for 14kg consignment is $15.52 + ($0.38 x 4) = $17.04
Difference between 11kg consignment and 14kg consignment is only $1.14
Additionally, if you choose TNT or Hunter Express for a very small consignment, remember that the first 10kg of your consignment is charged at a flat rate. Your consignment will cost the same to ship whether its V-Weight is 2kg or 10kg.
The daily cut off time for TNT and Hunter Express bookings for same day dispatch is 12pm. Remember that we need time to process, pack and book your order with these carriers prior to their 3pm pickup from us.
Pallet Freight (to be quoted) is offered for larger consignments Australia wide. We have a network of shipping partners that service most major nodes in Australia. We are able to ship pallet freight to destinations in the Sydney area for less than $40.00.
If your freight calculation is in excess of this amount, and you're located in the Sydney metropolitan area, we may advise you to select Pallet Freight instead.
WF Plastic is partnered with a number of trusted national freighters who specifically handle palletised stock. Depending on your shipping locale, we may recommend one of these freighters to handle your consignment.
For minor nodes, we generally prefer to use a carrier local to the customer. Family businesses are usually given preference due to their more competitive pricing structures. We seek a minimum of two quotations for pallet shipping prior to advising the customer of the prices that we have obtained.
