Custom Printing FAQ

Everything you wanted to know about custom printing disposable packaging.

General Information

Q: Why should I custom print my disposable packaging?

A: Developing a consistent marketing message helps promote your business—Think BIG, Grow BIG. Look at global leaders like McDonald's; they use every burger box and coffee cup as an independent advertisement. You can harness this same branding power to stand out from the competition. ↑ Back to Top

Q: Isn't custom printing far too expensive?

A: Surprisingly, some custom printed products are actually cheaper than standard prints. The main factor is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ). While you must purchase stock in a single batch, this often results in a more advantageous bulk purchase price. ↑ Back to Top

Q: How long will it take for my printed packaging to arrive?

A: For packaging manufactured in Australia, lead times are usually 3 weeks from artwork approval. For overseas items, a lead time of 8-10 weeks is standard. ↑ Back to Top

Q: I want to do my own artwork. Do you have any hints and tips?

A: Generally, you should adhere to these pointers:

  • Convert all text to outlines to remove font dependencies.
  • Specify any Pantone spot colours if required.
  • Preserve all layers; do not flatten the document.
  • Back-save to CS5 if using a newer version of Illustrator.
  • If the file is over 10MB, use our FTP server for upload.
