BioPak Bioplastic clear sauce containers are made from Ingeo PLA. Ingeo is made from plants and has a CO2 footprint 75% smaller than conventional plastics – even if it ends up in landfill. Present your customers with a complete bio packaging solution by sealing your clear sauce containers with a Bioplastic lid.
 

Eco friendly sauce containers are an excellent substitute for standard plastic sauce containers and have the added advantage of showing your customers that you care about your carbon footprint. Many council areas today will only allow eco friendly packaging in food service areas. We have a full range of compostable packaging, perfect for satisfying even the most discerning local council.

 
Clear BioContainer Background
BioPak plant-based sauce containers have the same look and feel as traditional plastic takeaway lids. However BioPak PLA takeaway containers are made from Ingeo, a renewable plant-based plastic that is 100% derived from corn, not oil. PLA bioplastic requires 68% fewer fossil fuel resources to produce than traditional plastic.
 
BioContainers can be composted in a commercial compost facilty, however this option is not widely available in Australia. If the Bio takeaway containers ends up in landfill, it still has upstream environmental benefits, such as reduced greenhouse gas emissions and reduced dependence on fossil fuels. To gain maximum advantage though, the compost bin is the recommended destination, completeing the cycle by enriching the earth that helped produce it.

What is Bioplastic?
Bioplastics are plastics derived from renewable sources, such as plant starch. Some, but not all, bioplastics are designed to biodegrade. The production and use of bioplastics is generally regarded as a more sustainable activity when compared with plastic production from petroleum, because it relies less on fossil fuel as a carbon source and also introduces fewer, net-new greenhouse emissions if it biodegrades. They significantly reduce hazardous waste caused by oil-derived plastics, which remain solid for hundreds of years.
 
Bioplastics have a 6-month shelf-life from purchase and must be stored out of direct sunlight and below 35°C.
