BioPak Carry All Sauce Lid For 300-700mL BioCups

New from BioPak - Carry All Sauce Lids for Clear Cold Cups!  BioPak have hit the jackpot with their new sauce lids. Have you ever wanted to separate sauce, nuts, dried fruit, muesli etc from yoghurt and other desserts? It's been a tricky task until now. The new BioPak sauce lids allow you to place your sauce into a 60mL BioPak sauce container (BCR-60), and then clip clip the sauce container underneath. The carry all sauce lids don't have a hole in the top, so everything stays nice and fresh. In addition to being able to keep your sauces separate from your desserts, the carry all sauce lids allow you to upscale your presentation and give your customers a single cup with dessert and sauce ready for takeaway.

 

BioPak Bioplastic clear BioLids are made from Ingeo PLA. Ingeo is made from plants and has a CO2 footprint 75% smaller than conventional plastics – even if it ends up in landfill. Present your customers with a complete bio packaging solution by sealing your clear BioCups with a Bioplastic lid.

Clear BioLid Background
BioPak plant-based cold lids have the same look and feel as traditional plastic takeaway lids. However BioPak PLA cold lids are made from Ingeo, a renewable plant-based plastic that is 100% derived from corn, not oil. PLA bioplastic requires 68% fewer fossil fuel resources to produce than traditional plastic.

BioCup lids can be composted in a commercial compost facilty, however this option is not widely available in Australia. If the BioLid ends up in landfill, it still has upstream environmental benefits, such as reduced greenhouse gas emissions and reduced dependence on fossil fuels. To gain maximum advantage though, the compost bin is the recommended destination, completeing the cycle by enriching the earth that helped produce it.

What is Bioplastic?
Bioplastics are plastics derived from renewable sources, such as plant starch. Some, but not all, bioplastics are designed to biodegrade. The production and use of bioplastics is generally regarded as a more sustainable activity when compared with plastic production from petroleum, because it relies less on fossil fuel as a carbon source and also introduces fewer, net-new greenhouse emissions if it biodegrades. They significantly reduce hazardous waste caused by oil-derived plastics, which remain solid for hundreds of years.
