Bagasse is a natural by product derived from sugarcane after the juice has been extracted. The left over fibre after harvesting is then kept wet and blended with water to form sugarcane pulp. Additives are combined with the sugarcane pulp, which is then pressed into shape using high temperatures. This results in compostable food packaging products that are both sturdy and microwavable.
